accessing EMC Navisphere from Mozilla
i am a rookie Java/Mozilla person and cannot figure out the following
i have an EMC cx400 running base code 02.06.400.5.006 (Release 13) and for some unknown reason i can access the array management software (Navisphere) from one 11i server's browser but not another
the server that works has the following
Mozilla 1.4.0.01
Java2 1.4 SDK 1.4 1.4.2.00.00
Java2 1.4 Netscape Plugin 1.4.2.00.00
the server that does not work has the following
Mozilla 1.4.0.01
Java2 1.4 SDK 1.4 1.4.2.02.00
Java2 1.4 Netscape Plugin 1.4.2.02.00
i cannot access the web server logs on the cx400 so i do not know how to begin trouble-shooting this problem. any ideas/tips? the server that does not work can get as far as accessing the start.html file on the array but seems to stop there an not continue to prompt for approval to load the signed applets. i find it hard to believe that a subtle version upgrade in Java would cause this...

Re: accessing EMC Navisphere from Mozilla
Marc,
Unfortunately EMC doesn't support Mozilla in managing Clariions. That being said, we have been doing it for a while.
I did have a problem a while back with one of the Java 1.4.1 plugin sub-versions (I can't remember which one) where I kept getting security violations. I upgraded to the next minor release and it worked fine.
I wouldn't rule out the possibility that your Java plugin and/or SDK is your problem. If you can either roll back to the 1.4.2.00.00 version or maybe move up to the 1.4.3 version (http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/java2/jpi/downloads/index_pa-risc.html).
