Account Administration
We are having approx. 35 C-8000 HP-UX 11i Workstations in NIS domain. But now i am not able to login in a workstation by any NIS users. When i enter username and password, it says "login incorrect".
Case: But when i login as root, after logging successfully, i lock it, and enter password to unlock the system, it gives a message: " Account is disabled- see Account Administrator
Hit Return to Continue"
When i press OK button, msg comes again and again after that it agains calls for password.
Case: I am not able to telnet this machine.
NIS servers and workstations are in same subnet.

Re: Account Administration
"as root, after logging successfully, i lock it".......
well, you're going to have to reboot into single user mode and use the console to log in as root and reset it the password.
As to why NIS isn't working, I don't know.

Re: Account Administration
Rahul,
You root account has disable, you need to change your root password on console or shutdown to single user mode.
