Re: Activate IP Printing
Can you describe more as what you mean by IP printing, do you mean you want to print to a print to a Network printer (with IP) from HPUX machine?

Re: Activate IP Printing
Hi Rajeev,
CUPS only accepts IP printing protocol. How can I setup our HP-UX server in order for the print jobs to be sent using IP printing protocol?
Our network admin does not want to activate the backward compatibility of cups.
thanks,
Karl

Re: Activate IP Printing
Hi Karl,
You could do 3 things
1. try configuring remote printers to those IP address (network printers)
2. Configure a Linux machine for centralized printing and remote all print queues from HP server to this Linux server.
3. Install CUPS for HP.
You can get more information on installing CUPS for HPUX from here
http://www.opensource.apple.com/darwinsource/Current/cups-97.1/INSTALL.txt or download the depot file file from
http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/cups-1.0.2/
Cheers
