Active Active

Hi i m new in Cluster. What is the difference between Active Active and Active passive cluster?

Nowadays it can have more than one meaning.

1) What I'll call "really Active-Active" - a package such as OracleRAC which has the same package running on more than 1 node and sharing common data either via raw data or fully cooked data under the Clustered File System (CFS)/

2) Traditional Active-Active -- NodeA is runnoing PackageA while NodeB is running PackageB but should either node fail, the failed package can move to the surviving node.

3) Active-Passive : PakageA and PackageB are running on NodeA and NodeB is idle but able to run packages should NodeA fail.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
