Adaptec 2940 - will it work?

Hi:

I would like to install one of three Adaptec PCI SCSI interface cards into my J6000. The card models are: 2940AU, 2940U2W and 2904U. The card doco says that it's SCO unix compatible. Has anyone used these cards on an HPUX box? Can I just plug one of them in and see if it's recognised and configured?

I need the card because I want to install a cdrom and tape drive and don't want to bring down the ultra SCSI bus speed. I'm running HPUX 11.i

No, this card does not have any drivers for HP-UX. I remembered we experiment with one of it on a B180, just couldn't get it working with any of the native HP-UX drivers.

Hi:

Thanks for the responses. I won't waste my time. Now I need to convince the all-mighty purse string holders to spend the $500 to get what we need.
