Adapter at hardware path 0/2/1/0/4/0 : Port World-wide name for device has changed
Hi all,
Need help....
There is a HPUX server running 11iv2. i am getting this EMS notification in the /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log.description is as follows "Adapter at hardware path 0/2/1/0/4/0 : Port World-wide name for device has changed" does any one has any idea???
It seems like there was some storage migration activity for this server. i suspect that this is because of the change of the port world wide name change. i guess the port world wide name is the FC HBA's WWID at the storage end?? just correct me if i am wrong.
Also the hardware path shown above 0/2/1/0/4/0 refers to the FC card. below is the ioscan output for that hardware path
fc 0 0/2/1/0/4/0 fcd CLAIMED INTERFACE HP 2Gb PCI/PCI-X Fibre Channel FC/GigE Dual Port Combo Adapter
please let me know if anything is wrong with this and how can i get rid of this alerts in the EMS?
Thanks and Regards,
VA
