Adding a modem to a K360
I am trying to add an external modem to a K360.
This modem only need to be have dial out capability.
I'd like to add it to the UPS port. I went into SAM and blew away the UPS configuration. How do I make port 1 available for a modem? The port (through SAM) is still showing up in the UPS configuration but is not available in the terminals and modems configuration. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Adding a modem to a K360
Hi there.
Check this URL :
http://europe-support.external.hp.com/emse/bin/doc.pl/sid=2b54d34d069b495e25?todo=search&searchtext=modem&searchcriteria=allwords&searchtype=SEARCH_TECH_DOCS&searchcategory=ALL&rn=25&presort=rank&x=35&y=10
It might contain something useful for you.
To setup the mdoem on the UPS port is not a good idea. Usually you can connect the modem to a port on a MUX ( same place where console terminal is connected / you will see some DB25 ports ).

Re: Adding a modem to a K360
Hi,
Take a look at the thread below,
http://us-support2.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=29a373a61007259c7e/screen=ckiSearchResults?mode=id&searchString=KBAN00000225
Substitute us-support with europe-support if you are using the European site. Also i don't think you can use the UPS port to connect an external modem.
Hope this helps.
