adding a new shell to the list of standard shells

Hi,

How can i add a new shell to the list of standard shells? I believe we can do this on linux by adding the new shell path to /etc/shells.

How do I do the same on hp-ux?

Hi,
HP-UX also has /etc/shells file , where you can add new shells .

Exactly true. In fact, see 'man 4 shells' and 'man 3C getusershell' for more details.
