I've got a rp7410 with two cells split into two nPartitions as production machines. I have a rp8400 with two cells split into two nPartitions as the disaster recovery machines for the production servers. I'm using tape-based Ignite-UX to test the recovery steps required to bring up the rp8400 in the event the rp7410 fails.
So far this is working fine. However, the NIC on the rp8400 cells is not supported by the drivers loaded on the rp7410. I need to add the software for the rp8400 NICs on the rp7410 so that when I create an Ignite-UX recovery tape on the rp7410 and restore it on the rp8400, the NIC in the rp8400 ends up available and configured.
Where can I find the software for the rp8400 NIC? I assume it is the package named IEther-00. Is this available for download? Or will I need to load it from the HPUX install CD?
Thanks much.

Shalom,
Install CD. But you might need patches for an ITRC patch database search is probably needed.

Re: Adding NIC driver to HPUX 11 for Ignite-UX on recovery server
After running the install from the Ignite-UX tape, this is what I've got under "Device List":
func0 not OLAR-able - PCI BaseSystem (103c128d)
asio0 not OLAR-able - Service Processor (3 ports)
gelan not OLAR-able - HP A6096-69001 PCI 1000Base-T Built-in
c720 not OLAR-able - SCSI C87x Ultra Wide Single-Ended
c720 not OLAR-able - SCSI C87x Ultra Wide Single-Ended
c720 not OLAR-able - SCSI C896 Ultra2 Wide Single-Ended
c720 not OLAR-able - SCSI C896 Ultra2 Wide LVD
td active on HP Tachyon XL2 Fibre Channel Mass Stor
fcp active on FCP Protocol Adapter
fcparray active on FCP Array Interface
fcpdev active on FCP Device Interface
- - off empty slot
- - off empty slot
The gelan is the device I need to load drivers for, right? "not OLAR-able" isn't telling me this is impossible on this hardware, right?
thanks.
