Advanced Server (ASU) & ip address change
The services starts up OK, shows up on the NT server manager, but no shares are visible, or mapable.
I know ASU/10.20 is no longer supported by HP, and this system was not upgraded for a reason.
Thanks for any help,
Masaki

Re: Advanced Server (ASU) & ip address change
1) Did you start and stop Netbios?
2) Did you stat and stop all server services?
3) Is "net computer" shows all computers in your domain?
4) What about "net status" command?
5) Did you change anything with share database?

Re: Advanced Server (ASU) & ip address change
1) yes netbios was restarted
2) yes server services was restarted
3) "net computer" returns..
could not find domain controller for this domain,
There are no entries in the list
4)"net stauts" shows current status (is there something output I should look for here?)
5) share database? do you mean the /var/opt/asu/lanman/datafiles/acl file?
if so no.

Re: Advanced Server (ASU) & ip address change
If you have an installable copy of ASU, then it wouldn't take long to re-install the application by KEEPING THE ORIGINAL DATABASE/MAPS untouched. It will prompt you this option while installing. You might want to take backup of the files before doing so. You have to stop all services including Netbios before doing this.
I would first make sure that it can see all computers in the same domain including the PDC.

Re: Advanced Server (ASU) & ip address change
A reboot of the PDC (NT - machine) got us back on line.
Thanks for the input,
Masaki
