Advice for WKS system upgrade/migration

Hello,

I have a C360 runing 11.00, I want to upgrade/migrate to a C3000.

I have downloaded, and run successfully Ignite 6 from software.hp.com, so I have a good image of the C360.

When I then run and boot the Ignite recovery suite all is OK, change settings, etc., in ignite inferface OK.

Then C3000 boots from the C360 kernel, it indicates missing drivers, etc., and then panics and restarts boot sequence.

I guess I'm missing an intermediate step moving from C360 to C3000 HW.

Any help/advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards....

Richard

Re: Advice for WKS system upgrade/migration

Hi Richard

Firstly, you should check if the image from the C360 was 64-bit or not. Run swlist on the C360 and check if you are using a 32-bit or 64-bit base OS. If it is 32-bit, I don't think this will work on the C3000.

Richard

Also take a look at this link as it describes the C3000 as not being supported unless certain patches are installed for 11.00
