alternate links on va7110

I have setup a va7110 and when I run ioscan the system shows all of the configured luns, 0-3 on one path, but on the other path it only lists lun0. So because of this I can't configure alternate links. The system has 4 other arrays on it so there is a lot of devices on it but I know of no limitations on how many devices you have on a system. The disks are attatched via a SAN and all is working correctly except for this new array. Please help.

I think klimit is 255 devices. Have you exceeded that limit??

Re: alternate links on va7110

no I haven't. We are suspecting that one of the controllers on the array is bad even though it is not reporting anything. If you or anyone else has any ideas please let me know.

Re: alternate links on va7110

I am bit confused about what you posted. You do ioscan to get LUN details?? How?? I am thinking that you do ioscan -fnCdisk. Right??

Please elaborate.

Re: alternate links on va7110

Hi

if you suspect a controller has failed then check it "armdsp -i; armdsp -a ;"

You can also check the host bus adaptors. "ioscan -fknCfc; fcmsutil /dev/td?;"
