Is there a version of LVM that runs on 11.11 that will allow me to change the striping on-the-fly from my current number to 1 (ie no striping)? If so then I could restripe, use pvmove, then restripe again.

Re: Another question about LVM and pvmove
Given what you are trying to do here, I'm pretty sure there used to be some service from HP which used Auto LUN XP to allow you to seamlessly migrate front end LUNs to completely different back-end LDEVs without interrupting IO to the LUNs. Have you asked your local HP storage service rep about that?

Re: Another question about LVM and pvmove
true, but the bad news is the end of support date for 11.23 is exactly the same as the end of support date for 11.23 (end of 2013):

But of course an upgrade from 11.23 to 11.31 is much easier than from 11.11 to 11.31... so not a complete waste of time
