Whether HP-UX PA-RISC B.11.11 OS need Antivirus. Whether RedHat Linux ES 3/4 need Antivirus. If yes, which Antivirus, where could get it?
Thank you very much,

Solutionsome companies have antivirus products for HP-UX and Linux, but in fact the software is scanning web/ftp-traffic and emails.
I'm not aware of any unix virus.
The highest risk is still the human error while operating.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

UNIX and Linux are susceptible to Trojan horses and buffer overruns although more and more of these holes get plugged everyday.
The "market" for UNIX virus writers is much smaller than that of the PC world and thus the appeal to the bad guys is much less. It is common, however, for UNIX/Linux boxes to be used as mailservers for PC's so isolating the PC viruses before they get sent to the intended mail recipient is a good idea.
