Any ill-effects to having odd number of columns in a stripe?

I'm used to using an even number (multiples of 2) when laying out my stripes -- specially with VxVM.

Any ill effects to performance/IO if I say stripe 5,7, or even 9 way?

I can't think of any reason although in my experience the gains from striping really diminish above 3 or so -- but that's one of those "it depends" cases.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
