Re: Any size restriction on sftp ?

I hope your SFTP Server having some tolerance to I/O on the terminal. Have you tried SFTP to make sure that your SYLOGIN mods don't cause problems?

Re: Any size restriction on sftp ?

No limit that low.

This issue must be with system or filesystem configuration.

What version of sftp/secure shell?

Re: Any size restriction on sftp ?

I am using
A.03.81.004 HP-UX Secure Shell.

Please note that it works fine on FTP using command prompt.

Re: Any size restriction on sftp ?

I'm not connected to an HP-UX box now so I can't check (easily) but I recall there is a "data-limit" parameter for ftpd so there could be an equivalent for sftpd (or sftp-server. It's also possible though doubtful that the filesystem is filling up. 90MB is considered a small file these days so I'm betting on a config parameter. It would help to know whether this is a put or a get.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Did you check logfiles for any issues ? Also run with -v (increase log levels).

Re: Any size restriction on sftp ?

Thank you guys ! I do not find anything strange on syslog. How can I check or increase log level ? Please specify file name and location as well.

Re: Any size restriction on sftp ?

What version of ssh you're running?
I recently upgraded to HP-UX Secure Shell A.04.00. In /opt/ssh/etc/sshd_config you can change the SftpLogLevel (AUTH,INFO etc)
[ I also changed the SftpLogFacility to LOCAL5 and add an entry to the syslog.conf ;
LOCAL5.info /var/adm/syslog/ftp.log
LOCAL5.none /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
so the entries voor sftp are now all logged in the ftp.log and not in the syslog.log ]
In earlier versions of HP-UX Secure Shell the entries voor Sftp where not in the sshd_config.

Re: Any size restriction on sftp ?

Aborted with what message precisely? If it always happens with the same file, what happens if you use a different file of the same size? (Not just a rename, but a file with different content).

Have you tried taking a tusc trace of the sftp session to see what happens towards the end?
