APA config question
Hi guys
I got a problem of APA config
detail:
it is a old version APA software, 11.00.04
and I config the apa conf mode as "FEC_MANUAL"
what mode shall i config on cisco 6500?
i first set the switch as "on", but the apa can not setup.
need I change config to "FEC_AUTO" on HP system?

Re: APA config question
Cisco setting "on" is correct for "FEC_MANUAL".
When using these settings, is is necessary to set up the HP_APA_MANUAL_LA[X] parameter for the appropriate aggregate . So when port mode is FEC_MANUAL in hp_apaportconf, appropriate hp_apaconf settings are , for example:
HP_APA_INTERFACE_NAME[0]=lan100
HP_APA_LOAD_BALANCE[0]=
HP_APA_HOT_STANDBY[0]=OFF
HP_APA_MANUAL_LA[0]=1,2
This creates manual linkagg lan100 containing lan1 and lan2 ports.

Your APA software is quite old, and you should consider installing PHNE_28777, which brings you to current software level B.11.00.19.
HP has a very reasonable "valuepack" for APA installation and configuration from the Response Center. Please check:

for information and I would be happy to deliver the consulting.
