APA Configuration

Hi
I need some clarification regarding APA(Auto Port Aggregation

1) We got a N-Class server with onboard 10/100TX lan card and we are going to get one more PCI 10/100baseTX lan card. Is it possible to use both the lancard in APA?

2) Whether APA is a priced product? if so approx cost

Thanks in Advance
Rajesh

Re: APA Configuration

yes you can share the load using the APA software.

I think it is around $1000.
I am not sure.
Just read it somewhere.(even I don't know whether it was in my dream)

Thanks

Re: APA Configuration

The APA is available on the 1st Application CD Rom (J4240AA B.11.00.08 Auto-Port Aggregation Software), but is codeword locked. After purchasing the product, you will receive a codeword that will allow you to unlock and install.

Re: APA Configuration

The cards must match speed and duplex settings, but I dont believe there is anything that restricts you mixing btlan3 and btlan5 type cards.

Cost for us was ~2000 AUD per server, so approx 1000USD
