Hi,
We're trying to configure APA with the Lan Monitor mode and we have a couple of questions:
- Is it true that we want to disable trunking on the Switch if we're only planning to use Lan Monitor mode?
- Do we need to enable MultiCast for this mode?
Any answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
KPS

Solution
Hi,
[1]
You should NOT trunk the ports on switch side that are connected to the ports on server side that you want to use to configured LM mode Link Agg also called FOG (Fail Over Group).
e.g. If lan1 and lan2 are connected on switch ports sp1 and sp2 respectively, you should not form a trunk of sp1 and sp2 on switch side.
[2] No need to enable any special multicast by admin. Just configure LM mode FOG.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and regards,
+ Ketan Kotak
