Apache password questions

Is there a way to synchronize the Apache password with the system password file in HPUX-11i system...? If not, can Apache password has password aging features ???

Any help is appreciated...

The doc mentioned it is not recommended because of security... but there are no solution how to use the system password file (/etc/passwd) for Apache...
Any ideas???
