apche runing as a proxy socks problem

hellow all ,
i'm using apache 1.3 as a proxy , i have a problem on socks connection like msn , pop3 mail . any one has a resoluation for this
plz advice and help

what version again? 1.3.26? 1.3.27? Lots of bug fixes at:
