Application Resource monitoring
We have lot of centralised application running and we
have lot of remote customers using our
services through FrameRelay and ISDN. Some time users complain the performance of the
system is very slow. But when we actualy see the
system performance is good and network is
also healthy . (We ping and find out the time taken)
The need to measure the response time right from the
customers Desktop PC to the application.
and provide statistics to our Managers, regadring usage of Network , Application and thereby the
system. Most of of our applications are Informix based
applications and we have verly little web
interface.
Do you know any software which can measure the
Response time and give us a cumulative figure
, which can be drilled down further , if we need to.
Thanks for your time and hope to receive a informative
reply form you. I am sure this will be the
need for most of the people today and tommorrow.

Re: Application Resource monitoring
Sounds like you were reading the definatoin of ARM (Application Response Meaurement). See http://www.cmg.org/regions/cmgarmw/index.html for more information on ARM and to download the SDK. Several performance measurement packages support ARM, including GlancePlus and MeasureWare.
