Applications on arbitrator

Is it possible to run applications as packages on arbitrator nodes. We got 2 arbitrators. Currently no applications are running on them, is is possible to configure packages on them

it certainly is. They are nodes within the cluster, and hence can have a package configured just to run on these nodes. If you also have shared discs, you can have that disc only being used on these nodes.

An arbitrator node is just another server in a Serviceguard cluster, but usually at a 3rd site. Arbitrator duties are minor compared to the value the servers can have as additional package operators.
By all means, load them up and use them.

The goal of an arbitrator node was that it wouldn't run apps, and wouldn't (necessarily) have access to the same disks as your primary cluster nodes. If this the storage config you have, then you can only run local apps on your arbitrator nodes. Usually arbitrator nodes are kept small (1 cpu, small amount of memory), just to keep costs down.

Thanks a lot for your response, We got 2 arbitrator nodes (2 L2000), and we are planning to run an application which does not reauire a shared storage (eg: a web server/application server). Applications will be running as packages configured for a single node.
