After comments from a couple of the moderators last month, I am going to try a new approach to the Issues thread.
Requests for moderator action (editing threads, moving threads, deleting threads, etc) should be made here:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1015860
Performance related issues (things the moderators can do nothing about other than reporting them) should be made
here:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1015861
DO NOT POST ISSUES IN THIS THREAD
Pete

SolutionI've kept silence for rather long, but now I'm going to say it: You are a plain point hunter.
I've seen it happen far too often that you post answers in a thread that add NOTHING to what was already posted, and you cannot blame delays, as most of these have time differences of ten minutes or more.
You are just cluttering this very valuable forum. Please don't do this anymore, and respect that others know what you might know and just posted there before you did.
My ultimate weapon is to put you on my ban list, so there will be no more statistics for you at all.
Enjoy, Have FUN! H.Merijn

Re: April 2006 ITRC Issues
Don't you like to give suggestion or creative or useful ideas to moderators. Is not good to put a link in the forum page instead of keep on sending message as "making top".
And, You are getting more points during congrats by sending point status? I never seen that you put as "1 point please??"
Pete,
You are encouraging him and giving 10 points ? Is it not violating pointing system and rules compiled you people ? Are you an vocalist for HP ?
I am keep on seeing that you are sending messages "15 minutes after he send this" in the forum issues.
PS: Encourage others to contribute or Please give a way.

Re: April 2006 ITRC Issues
I would have contacted you personally over e-mail if I could, but the forum does not show e-mail addresses (which is a good thing)
so I can reply with more explanaitions that are not for on-list discussions.
I'm sorry if I got too personal.
Ready to explain a lot of your questions, but off-list please.
Enjoy, Have FUN! H.Merijn

Re: April 2006 ITRC Issues
It is not Merijn (aka Procura) who pings this topic to the top, but Pete.
>> You are encouraging him and giving 10 points ?
Is it not violating pointing system and rules compiled you people ?
Merijns entry must have struck a cord with Pete.
I know it did for me, as it voiced thought I also had.
Please not that the reply here was post before the contentious 'point hunter' topic was crerated.
>> Are you an vocalist for HP ?
Pete is simply a (very) nice person trying to help the world (or at least the irrational part of it that we all play in).
I hope that you, like me, will get a chance to have the pleasure to meet him some day at conference or job. You will like him, garantueed.
>> I am keep on seeing that you are sending messages "15 minutes after he send this" in the forum issues.
Yeah well, I'm afraid that I am not smart enough to figure this one out either. The title reads 'issues' but the bottom line on the text reads 'DO NOT POST ISSUES IN THIS THREAD'. Sorry, that does not compute for me.
Cheers,
Hein

Re: April 2006 ITRC Issues
Just checking Pete :)
Anyways - I met Cricket Liu today at a "DNS Best Practices for Identity Driven Networks: Roundtable Discussion " here in Calgary.
Talked a bit about the 5th edition of "DNS and Bind" as well as best practices in DNS architecture and emerging advanced topics in DNS (like ENUM, DNSSEC, IDN, and IPv6 support).
Alos learned about some other features in Bin 9.2.3, including "Name Masters List", RTT (Round Trip Time) for forwarders and the ability for slaves to have multiple masters for a zone (useful in mixed ADS/Bind environments).
If he happens to be coming to your area - definately try to get an invite (infoblox.com).
I spoke with him about the ITRC and he remembers a few people here - like Clay and Bill.

Re: April 2006 ITRC Issues
Cool - I met Cricket too - about '99 or so when I was working for Cat. Believe it or not he was doing some complex, custom sendmail rulesets for us. The man is definitely multi-talented.
Cheers,
Jeff
