Asian (CJK) locale support and pty
I have a user who is testing Chinese and finding that the visual backspacing does not work properly (though the expected value is received by the application). He is using VT-UTF8 emulation in Reflection (terminal) to do this; the problem is that there is no erasing of the second deleted character. Backspace once, all is well; backspace again, character remains (though cursor is properly positioned and returned value is correct).
Is this something with the pty driver not being set correctly?
I can't find any details on CJK processing (or Unicode processing) in the terminal information in the man pages; the "What's New in 11i v3" doesn't tell me what I want to know, and the Internationalization document says almost the same thing.
The environment is HP-UX 11i v3 for PARISC.
