at job limit.

Hi there:

I need to modify my queuedefs file to increase the limit for at jobs. Please let me know what would be the limit for cron and at and what would be the maximum limit for both. we also will increasing the limit for at jobs would affect cron. please throw some light on this subject.

Thanks
Brian.

Re: at job limit.

Hi Brian:

The man pages for 'queuedefs(4)' state "Although any number can be specified here [for 'njob'], the total number of jobs that can be run on all the queues is limited to 100.

My interpretation is therefore that the concurrent sum of 'at' *and* 'cron' tasks executing will not exceed 100.

Re: at job limit.

Brian,

From man queuedefs:

"The maximum number of jobs that can be run
simultaneously in that queue. Although any number can
be specified here, the total number of jobs that can be
run on all the queues is limited to 100."

Why do you need to increase? Are you having problems with at jobs not running? Are any running?

Re: at job limit.

Brian,

I'll mention this just in case you're not getting any at jobs to run.

If you have PHCO_24702 installed you need to install PHCO_27141. See this thread for full details:
