AUTH_MAXTRIES not working in HP-UX 11.31
Hello,
I have set AUTH_MAXTRIES=1 in /etc/default/security file in my HP_UX box running with 11.31 OS, & i am using /etc/shadow file for password encryption.
I use ssh to connect to systems, telnet & rlogin is disabled.
/var/adm/userdb/USERDB.DISABLED file is present to disable user data base in /var/adm/userdb/.
Even after more than 4 consecutive wrong login attempts, user does not get locked/disabled.
I have attached etc/default/security file & /etc/pam.conf.
Any suggestions?

Re: AUTH_MAXTRIES not working in HP-UX 11.31
Thank you.
I just got resolved it. AUTH_MAXTRIES works well with telnet session, but with SSH it was not working.
I just removed # from the value "UsePAM yes" in /etc/opt/ssh/sshd_config & restarted the ssh. Now AUTH_MAXTRIES works well with ssh also.
