AUTH_RETRIES

i get access denied message for root with max AUTh_RETRIES. how should i correct it

You should still be able to login with root from the console.

Hey;

Login as root on the console, or use sudo to execute the command:

userdbset -u root -d auth_failures

*Then* find out who's locking your root account :D
