Re: Auto Port Aggregation Software on HP-Ux
Well, a search for "auto port aggregation" on www.software.hp.com implies that it is a separately purchased item. I also think that newer revs get shipped on the DART CD's but perhaps they are codeworded...

Solution
We installed Auto Port Aggregation on 2 N-Class servers back in March. We had to purchase it as separate packages. Each server has 2-PCI 4 port 100BaseT network cards. We are running them in an MC/ServiceGuard cluster. We combine each card into one aggregate. We had one network related problem back in April that we thought might be related to the APA software. It turned out to be a Cisco issue instead. Glance is running on the servers and I don't think I've seen a network collision or any other bottleneck indicator on those servers. We probably have more throughput than we need at this time but we wanted to plan for future growth.
Hope this helps.

Re: Auto Port Aggregation Software on HP-Ux
The APA is available on the 1st Application CD Rom (J4240AA B.11.00.08 Auto-Port Aggregation Software), but is codeword locked. After purchasing the product, you will receive a codeword that will allow you to unlock and install.
