Auto Port Aggregation

Machine Config: L-Class with 2GB RAM/EMC Array
4*HP PCI 100BaseT network card
I am using cisco switch. Can I use auto port aggregation for network card Redundancy. I dont have M/C service guard.

Ganesh,

I think APA is supported only on Cisco Catalyst 5000 Series. You need to check if it is supported on L-class server. I did some research sometime back for T-600 and gave up as it was not supported for that model.

Hi,

As far as I know any Cisco switch which supports Fast Ether Channel (FEC) is supported by HP APA.

Especially the Release Notes:
Also ensure you have the latest patches installed on the system.
