Auto Port Aggregation
I have configured Auto Port configuration on one of the server .
It works fine when it is running , but when I stop it by giving the command hpapa stop , the server stops responding , the IP does not move back to the primary port . I cannot telnet nor ping . Is this a normal phenomenon or is there any problem with the configuration .
Help require urgently .
Thanks in advance
Sanjeev

Re: Auto Port Aggregation
Hi Sanjeev,
If this is your only network connection, stopping apa will disable lan100/lan900 and server will be inaccessable. What do you mean by IP moving back to primary port? You don't define any other IP for those ports that you are aggregating, just group-id and port-priority(optional).

Re: Auto Port Aggregation
Hi Manjeet ,
I hv resolved the problem , What I meant by moving back the IP was that is ...
I have 2 network cards and one of them is the card which is having an IP address , When I configure Link Aggregation in LAN_MONITOR mode the IP of the primary port moves to the Link Aggregation port i.e. lan100 .
I did not have the steps to remove the configuration correctly without making the server inaccessible .
But now I have resolved it .
Anyway thanks
Sanjeev
