Autochanger Configuration

I'm trying to set up a ATL 7100 Tape library on an HP9000 running HPUX 10.20. I am also going to use omniback software, so I will need to use the SCTL driver. I have the sctl driver and a driver statement with the hardware address built in the kernel. I have rebooted the computer and can see the device with sam, but not with ioscan. I have also built the system device file but it's not being recognized. Does anyone have any
idea how to get the system to tie the device file to the hardware?
If its not broke don't fix it.

Re: Autochanger Configuration

Check out doc KBAN00000190. Configuring a tape library in 10.20 and 11.0.

The driver for the picker is typically schgr. The driver for the tape drives is typically sctl or spt. This will depend on the type of tape device and SCSI bus in use.

Where do I find the document. I don't have a software maintenance agreement to attach to my ID

Here is a copy of the doc. You may have to do some of the formatting, but the info is there.
