Automounter Default behaviour in HP
Hi,
i have a small problem and i am very curious to know if any workaround is their for that.In HP-UX when u use the automounter it mounts the indrect map entries and creates a symbolic link under /tmp_mnt .No I am using automunter with NIS .But if my user logs in in sun machine he gets the home directory as /u/$username but in hp system it is /tmp_mnt/u/$username .which is due to the default behavior of automounter in hp.But beacuse of that my certain scripts ..are not able run .I want that user shud get /u/$usernmae in HP also. Can anybody help me in that.I contacted HP Response centre also but ...till now not got any solution.I am using sun solaris as my nis master.

Re: Automounter Default behaviour in HP
You are using the old automountd, I suggest you upgrade to AUTOFS. It does not use the symlinks of /tmp_mnt with your indirect maps. On 10.20, there are patches to upgrade to the latest automountd.
