Automounter - larg files > 2GB

Automounter - larg files > 2GB

Can the automounter be used with files larger than 2GB?

I am currently using NFS, to allow access to Sybase dump files for a remote server to load using the NFS mounts.

OS = HP-UX 11.0
Servers = N Class

Re: Automounter - larg files > 2GB

As long as the NFS mount point when the filesystem was created was enabled with the largefiles option. I cannot see any reason why not if this has been done.

Re: Automounter - larg files > 2GB

Automounter is the process for the mounting and umounting the file system automatically.

There is no problem is the file system is enabled with large files.

As such there in no restriction mounting larger than 2 Gb, but creating more 2 Gb in NFS mount area , you need need to have NFS 3.0 version
