autopath activation
I have an SG cluster running on 2 nodes attached to an XP128. We are using LVM for cluster volumes. So alternate links are also in use. But, Since I have autopath already installed, I wish I could use it for some load balancing.
When I issue "autopath display all" I see that it had all the XP disks recorded (both paths), and that no load balancing is defined.
The point is that, unlike EVA securepath, I still see the 2 paths in the ioscan, and that is disturbing.
So, I'm wondering if there is any relation between the PV links I've already defined and AutoPath. and if I change the policy in autopath, have I to disable my PV links ?
an explanation of how autopath works is quite welcome here!
Thanks and BR,
Farid.

Re: autopath activation
this depente of the politica that you anger to move. case you reconfigures autopath you can lose the alternative way. in case of imperfection of the main one. but case you changes the device of alternat link (/dev/dsk/cxtxxx) you will have that to remove in the VG and to add the new alternative address

Re: autopath activation
You mean that whenever I configure it, I will not be able to see the alternate PATH ?
Thanks,
Farid.
