autopath all the paths to the end device xxx failed
hi gurus;
i have an active active cluster with Service Guard and Oracle RAC.Also we have got OnlineJFS.
yesterday i reorganize the vg structure.Here what i did step by step.
1- vgreduce the vg1 cxt1d1
vgreduce the vg2 cxt2d2
vg1 and v2 are the shared mode vg in the cluster.
2- create vg3 with cxt1d1 and vg4 with cxt2d2
and insert the cluster.vg3 and vg4 are shared mode.
3- after i create the raw device for Oracle, export tne map files from node1 (master node).and scp to the slave node.
4- import the map files (vg1, vg2, vg3 ,vg4) to the second node.(slave node)
i did see the all vg from all node by vgdisplay and everything was ok.
But now at node 1 (master node) i see the error "AUTOPATH : All the paths to the end device 0xxxxx failed" for cxt1d1 and cxt2d2.
i can not diskinfo /dev/rdsk/cxtxdx.
but i achived to cp lv from vg3 using dd command.
vg3 and vg4 are active now.
And also at /etc/lvmtab i can see the pv for vg3 and vg4.
from ioscan output all cxtxdx are CLAIMED.
it is interesting; at slave node everyting is ok.vg's are active and all path's are ok.
Finally; at SAN (EVA8000) thereis no disk failure.all vdisks are presented and fine.
i need some help.
regards;
mustafa

Re: autopath all the paths to the end device xxx failed
Hi,
if everything is ok, i would try rmsf, and do the procedure when you firstly present a disk. if it doesn't succeed, try mediainit.
as i understand just diskinfo shows no information. a corresponding patch may exists.
Kenan.
