awk: Input line OS-Core.CORE-KRN OS- cannot be longer than 3,000 bytes

Hi all

I am trying to install the latest Online Diag software, but the swinstall is failing with the following error:

awk: Input line OS-Core.CORE-KRN OS- cannot be longer than 3,000 bytes
The input line number is 15.
The source line number is 12.


Any Ideas? Will installing gawk help?

More details: B.11.11 U 9000/800
depot is: OnlineDiag_B.11.11.20.03_HP-UX_B.11.11_32_64.depot

Hi Mark:

No, 'gawk' is probably not the answer.

I suspect that your depot is corrupt. Maybe you transferred the depot from a Windows machine and neglated to transfer in binary mode. I suggest that you download the depot again.

This happened on the final configuration phase of the install and I had to kill the swinstall session - now when I try to remove the software prior to doing a clean install I am getting the same error....

The first thing I would try is to simply reinstall the bundle.
