B2000 first boot passwd

I've just booted up a new B2000 and setup networking through the welcome intro as os was preloaded.

I was not asked to setup up a root passwd or users.
When it did the reboot to commit changes it's taken me to the cde login screen but i dont know the default passwd to login.

I know i can boot from cd into s/u and change/add from there if need be.

But i was just wondering if theres a default passwd on first boot.

Might just have to dig out packaging and see if theres anything in the manual.

Re: B2000 first boot passwd

George,

Boot into single user mode, remove the password field from /etc/passwd for root (will have to mount /tmp and /usr to use vi). Then root won't have a password, and can be reset upon the next full boot.
