Backup issues in HPVM3.5
I have 2 physical HP Integrity machines running 4 guests each.
When attempting to back up those 8 guests using DataProtector I run into some issues. First ultrium drives on the SAN seem to be an issue. I can present a drive to only one guest at a time on each host making direct to tape backups a bit hard.
Then I started looking into doing backups over the ethernet but then I notice that the host itself seems to be limited by 1gb/s speeds to it's guests. Why is there a speed limit in place to begin with ?
Is there any way for me to get more speed from the host machine to it's guests ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Backup issues in HPVM3.5
I'm using emulated LAN
[Network Interface Details]
Interface Adaptor Name/Num PortNum Bus Dev Ftn Mac Address
========= ========== ========== ======= === === === =================
vswitch lan husnet 1 0 2 0 02-20-4e-66-a9-43
vswitch lan heartbea 1 0 4 0 ce-34-b7-ad-18-27
This is a typical setup of a guest network.
