Backup restoration from Tape

Hi,

We have a HPUX 11i v1 Installed in Rp 3410 server. we want to restore the data from tape to my server. we have the tape drive connected the server. what are commands to restore the data from the tape to the system

Believe it or not, the commands to restore
the data depend on the commands used to
create the tape.

hi,

First of all, we need to know which software/command was used to backup the data to the tape media. This will make it more easy identify the appropriate command for recovery of the data.

which command is used for the backup? then only we can give complete pictue like what Yogeeraj said
any how a lot of commands are their depends on u backup
see fbackup/frecover (availble in hp-ux)
tar all most unix o/s
cpio
etc....
