Bad bootp tag size: T144 = 5
I get this error on the test page when I set :T144="hp4mv": in my bootptab. At the same time, even though the testpage IP/mask/gateway/etc are correct, the printer does not even respond to ping.
If I rename the bootfile to hp4mv.cfg and change bootptab, I get the same error but the "bad size" goes up to 9.
If I remove the T144 setting the printer boots and prints happily.
Does anyone have T144 working for a 4mv?
[originally mis-posted to business customer discussions :-[

Hi
Tag Description
---------------------------
T144 Specifies the name of the remote configuration file, if any.
The name of the file must be in double quotes, for example,
"netstation1.cfg".
Are you sure of your format. Is ftp running
which version of JD are you using.
What is the bootp dhcp patch level.

Steve:
format looks good to me
*tftp* is running on the bootp server
dunno the JD version, what is JD?
dhcp not used here: it's simple bootp.
