bad value 0 for SOCK_UMASK

hi all,

when connecting to HP-UX machines with HP-UX Secure Shell-A.04.50.021 (OpenSSH_4.5p1+sftpfilecontrol-v1.1-hpn12v14, OpenSSL 0.9.7l 28 Sep 2006) installed i always get the following error in syslog:

bad value 0 for SOCK_UMASK, using default value.

is this a known issue? is there a workaround for fixing this without installing a newer sshd release?

i use different ssh clients - solaris and mac os x, using both produces the error above.
