Bar backup session was started but no client connected in 36000 seconds.Aborting session!

Hello!
My Oracle Incremental Backups will always abort with the the following error message: "Bar backup session was started but no client connected in 36000 seconds.Aborting session!". But the full backup works fine. The problem is, that i don't want to increase the SmWaitForFirstClient variable, because we've increased this variable a few times in the past, but after a while we are getting the error again. how can i resolve this problem? is there anything i can do in RMAN?

Hi,
and welcome to the forums !

Are you runnng anything before the backup is due to start, for example sync ?
Something is preventing the backup from starting. This something only happens before/during incrementals.
Compare your backup scripts for full and incremental.
