Bind 9.2.1 on HPUX 11.00

I need to upgrade to bind 9.2.1. I've downloaded the source from www.isc.org and built in on my test server (N-Class) with HP's ANSI C compiler. The 'make test' ran with no errors.

My problem is that named cores about 20 minutes after being started. It happens every time. I've turned debugging on (named -d 10) but still see no errors as to why. Any ideas?

You might try taking a look at the core file with the wdb debugger and see what the stack trace looks like, and then consider taking that to one of the bind mailing lists.

Dave, if 9.2 is okay, open a call with the response center and request this version in it's beta format. I have had other customers install this with no problem and it is fully supported.

You can ask HP for the info to get BIND920ver3.depot.gz from their "security bulletins" ftp site.
