BIND 9.2 depot for HPUX11?

I am trying to upgrade my old bind (4.9) just for local domain testing, but the source code I've downloaded from ISC do not compile. I am wonder if there is any depot available? If not for 9.2, I can settle it for 8.3.3.

In the meantime, as I have to keep the test going, is there any way under 4.9 that can allow me to restrict access only to our ip addresses?

Re: BIND 9.2 depot for HPUX11?

Hi,

Bind 9.2 is available for 11i only. It is not available for 11.0. Try some other version,

Hope this helps.

I've just tried to download 8.1.2 from the linkage above, but after I fill in my information, it just gave me a thank you page ...there is no download linkage or file???

Re: BIND 9.2 depot for HPUX11?

Hi Bosco,

I just tried downloading the Bind using the link i had posted earlier and i was able to start the download. This donwload file is the upgrade from the older version. I've attached the file.

Or you can download the source directly from the ISC web-site,

http://www.isc.org/products/BIND/

Hope this helps.

Got it, thanks. May be I am in Canada and I just don't have a valid zip code to download.

Re: BIND 9.2 depot for HPUX11?

Just tried to install your copy, but it report that named-xfer is not in source, then I have to bail out in the middle of swinstall. Will, have either for upgrading, I will use 4.9 (have to copy over from another system) in the meantime for testing (I have another security question ...see my next posting). Thanks anyway.

Btw, when I bail out from swinstall, it has a serious warning message (forget to drop it down). Will it log anywhere? and Will it harm the system? Is there anyway I can clear it out?
