BIND 9 for HPUX 10.20
Hi,
After the recent CERT warning I am looking to upgrade BIND. We are currently using BIND 4.9.3 with HP-UX10.20. Is there a 10.20 version of BIND 9 available?
The version available from the HP Software depot (Bind 9 special Release) says it is only compatible with HP-UX 11.11.
Thanks,
Jim.

Re: BIND 9 for HPUX 10.20
The lab has not released any version of 8.X nor 9.X for 10.20. The latest version HP has for 10.20 is 4.9.7. I am not sure if they are going to port it to 10.20 or not.
By the way, the BIND V9 release is for 11.11 only at this point.
Regards,
Berlene

Re: BIND 9 for HPUX 10.20
There have been a variety of posts here in the past where individuals have ported the PD version of BIND themselves. If you are interested I suggest you perform a search through the previous posts where I seem to recall some minor issues. The most recent distribution (9.1.0) is available at http://www.isc.org/products/BIND/

Re: BIND 9 for HPUX 10.20
FYI I have downloaded the source from ISC.org and built sucessfully on HP-UX 10.20. NOTE: This IS with HP's ANSI-C compiler, and NOT gcc or the standard K&R compiler shipped with HP-UX.
If you dont mind reading, it can be done! :)

Shannon
