Re: Bind Installation from DVD
The HP-UX Software Pack (Optional HP-UX 11i v2 Core Enhancements) delivers new core software features. You can download HP-UX Software Pack features from the Software Depot web.

Re: Bind Installation from DVD
Hi,
I have already downloaded the package but I am afraid that I might face the same issue as in the below link
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Patches/HP-UX-11-23-DNSUPGRADE-problem/m-p/5125679#M12983
And another question when I try to install it using swinstall -s
I am not getting anything in the swinstall window. No depot to chose!
Any idea ?
thanks a lot for your support!

Re: Bind Installation from DVD
You need to register your depot with the swreg command and you will be able to use it.

Re: Bind Installation from DVD
Actually I will be grateful if you could tell me how to install bind from the DVD because it seems that Installing the following depot DNSUPGRADE.BindUpgrade requires that the original Bind to be installed on the system ( This what was mentioned in other threads ).
It was a matter of time for the depot to show up in the swinstall menu but it has ended with the following error:
A Remote Procedure Call to a daemon has failed. Could not start a
management session for "dns3:/tmp". Make sure the host is
accessible from the network, and that its daemon, swagentd, is running.
Again this error was when I was trying to install DNSUPGRADE.BindUpgrade.
Thanks a lot for your help.
I appreciate it.

Re: Bind Installation from DVD
I will try first to install Bind from the DVD then I will go for the DNSUPGRADE.BindUpgrade
depot.
Hope it will work.
Cheers.
