BIND upgrade on 10.20 (S7/800)

BIND upgrade on 10.20 (S7/800)

Can we safely upgrade BIND (DNS) to version 8.1.2 on HPUX 10.20 700 series &
800 series machines? I have a document from the HP website stating that it
is meant for HPUX 11.xx only, but the document itself is more than 2 years
old - dated August 1998.

The 10.20 OS is HP supported only to BIND 4.9.7. It is done and there have been alot of success stories in upgrading to 8.X.

Will need to download the code from the BIND site and compile. The HP supplied BIND for 10.20 is 4.9.7 with patches installed.

Do a search for BIND with community forum checked. This will give you previous contributions. 10.20 supports BIND 4.9.7
