BL860 two nodes which is connected to MSA1000

Hi All,

I have a systems which are BL860 and it has QLogic on it to connect o MSA1000, here the BL860 are running HP-UX 11.23, now that i need to assign a LUN (LUN1) to both system, how can i do this and what would be the procedure, this is not as easy as it is with Windows

Shalom,

Early MSA models could not handle multiple HP-UX clients without a firmware upgrade.

See that the firmware supports multiple HP-UX clients.

Normally this requires Service gaurd or cluster file system.

The most easy procedure to configure the MSA is IMHO using ACU on a windows or linux client. But you can also do this using the CLI or HPUXCLI.

Make sure you have latest firmware on the array and configure the HP-UX mode while presenting LUNs.

The LUN presented using ACU from winodows, but the same LUN is not being accepted by the two systems, from SAM its not letting me use the same LUN

Is SSP set to on? Is the LUN visible in ioscan in both systems?
