Re: block rpc services in HP-ux v1 and v2
Comment the rpc lines in /etc/inetd.conf. Run inetd -c to stop the rpc services found in inetd.conf (if any).
The other services are stopped by disabling the startup scripts that use rpc services. The control script for NFS is netdaemon. Set these variables to =0:
NFS_CORE=0
LOCKMGR=0
NFS_CLIENT=0
NFS_SERVER=0
START_MOUNTD=0
AUTOFS=0
Also edit the file Rpcd:
START_RPCD=0
